22nd RESIDENTS' RESEARCH PAPER CONTEST 2008 and the 3rd PAO RESEARCH IDOL CONTEST
The PAO Research Committee will continue to adopt last year's format
of "PAO Research Idol" followed format of the popular American show,
"American Idol". Final full manuscripts should be submitted by
October 17, 2008, Friday, 3:00 pm at the PAO office. Qualifying
entries will be presented on Day 0 of the 2008 PAO Annual Meeting at
the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City, Metro Manila.

PAO-PHIC Memorandum of Agreement concerning Medical Missions
MOA containing policies to Cataract Surgery performed during the
conduct of Medical Missions and /or as a result of "recruitment
schemes" signed last December 9, 2007 between the PAO and PHIC.

This circular provides guidelines for the discontinuance of compensability of claims for cataract surgery performed during medical missions and thru other recruitment schemes and limiting the number of compensable claims for cataract surgery.
